Be seen on the road: reflectors for rider and horse
When a ride crosses a village road or follows the roadside, visibility matters most. What should rider and horse wear?

Rider and horse share the road with cars, cyclists and pedestrians. A driver may not notice a horse from afar, especially at dusk.
For the rider
A hi-vis vest is the simplest solution: light, cheap and clearly visible even in daylight. In the dark a lamp or flashing light adds safety.
For the horse
There are reflective leg bands, reflective sheets and browbands with reflectors. Reflectors that move with the legs catch a driver's eye especially well.
Riding in a group
In a group everyone should wear reflectors. Agreed signals help the group act calmly and as one in traffic.
